My frugal journey is my journey toward my end goal of being mortgage free. It’s going to be a long road, but one that I hope will be rewarding and provide satisfaction in the long run.
The starting base for our mortgage was four years ago at £89k. Four years later with no overpayments, and the balance is sitting at £81k. When you think about paying at least £500 per month for 12 month each year, that's a lot of money that has been directed at the interest side of the mortgage rather than the capital.Time to make a change.
